Zen at work: 7 necessary essential oils

In this section 'Zen at work', inspired from the smart witty book “Office Spa” by Darrin Zeer, here are easy-to-do tips that will help you prevent stress with exercises stemmed from well-balanced nutrition, aromatherapy, acupressure, meditation, and reflexology.

This most ancient medicine can benefit all kind of small diseases. Here, Aromatherapy will help you ease the most frequent pains of the day-to-day office activities.


You may choose to buy calming roll-ons in nature specialized stores and pharmacies, like the Aesop Ginger Flight Therapy (above) to relieve jet lag.


You may also wish to prepare your own mixture of 4 to 6 drops blended with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (sweet almond, millepertuis, etc.), to apply in the neck, on temples, inside your wrists and clockwise on your abdomen.


To each ache corresponds distinct aromatic plants:

  • Migraine headaches: use a few drops of peppermint.

  • Cold snaps: blend drops of Eucalyptus and Ravensara.

  • Stomach pains: blend drops of Tarragon, Peppermint and Marjoram.
