Amangiri (Utah, United States)

Amangiri, ‘peaceful mountain’, is situated on 243 hectares in Canyon Point, Southern Utah, close to the border with Arizona. The resort is tucked into a protected valley with sweeping views over colourful, stratified rock towards the Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument. Architecturally, the resort has been designed to blend into the landscape with natural hues, materials and textures a feature of the design.Within the central Pavilion are the Living Room, Gallery, Library, Dining Room, Private Dining Room and Cellar, 34 suites accommodation and the Aman Spa. Each Suite has an outdoor lounge and fireplace with expansive desert views, while some feature a private pool or roof terrace. The cuisine at Amangiri is inspired by the American Southwest and made primarily from locally sourced ingredients carefully selected by the chef. The stark, beautiful desert ensures adventure is always at hand, from rafting Colorado River and horseback riding in Monument Valley, to aerial views of Lake Powell in a private plane.

SPA

The Spa aims to reflect the healing traditions of the Navajo through the four elements of earth, wind, fire and water. Spread across 2,322 square metres (25,000 square feet), the pavilions, treatments rooms and terraces provide a variety of treatments including massages, scrubs, wraps and flotation therapy.

Refresh at the water pavilion's sauna, steam room and cold plunge pool. A stone-lined step pool with desert views adjoins the pavilion, offering cushioned seating for contemplation and temperature-controlled water.

A wellness coach can encourage sustainable health changes by helping you to identify your inner values and transform goals into action.

The yoga pavilion opens up to views of the Mesa. Candlelit restorative yoga is available in the evenings, while full moon yoga is set outdoors beneath the rising moon.
